[Also in Division H2] A capacitive bushing is produced by winding on to a supply spool 3 a dielectric web e.g. paper to which metal foil sections, which ultimately form concentric helical electrodes in the finished bushing, are preferably stuck, and then winding the web from the spool 3 on to a mandrel 5 mounted in a trough 2 of casting resin held within an evacuated vessel 1. The web is thus degasified before being wound on the mandrel. |
