<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protective structure to obtain shock absorbing performance of an interior material itself also after deploying an air bag. <P>SOLUTION: This structure has a vehicle body 25, the interior material 27 disposed at the cabin inside of the vehicle body 25, the air bag 20 stored between the vehicle body 25 and the interior material 28 to be deployed to the cabin inside, and a mounting means 40 for mounting the interior material 27 on the vehicle body 25 to move the air bag 20 to a separate position where the air bag 20 can be swollen.
