<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery equipped with a safety function in a low-cost structure with the small number of parts and man-hour, without degrading leakproof reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The battery is provided with a fixed conductive plate 32 electrically connected with a collector of one of the electrodes of the battery, a cup-shape conduction rupture disc 35 releasing battery internal pressure by being deformed and broken by the battery internal pressure of a given value or more and breaking electric connection with the fixed conductive plate, an electrode terminal plate 31 made to seat itself through a conductive ring 36 on an inner bottom face of the cup-shape conduction rupture disc, and an insulating sealing gasket intercalated in a compressed state between a peripheral edge part of the cup-shape conduction rupture disc 35 and an open end part 14 of a battery can 11. The open end part 14 is caulked inward as it cmpresses the sealing gasket 41, and at the same time, the peripheral edge part of the cup-shape conduction rupture disc 35 is folded back inward in a manner of wrapping the conductive ring 36 and a peripheral edge part of the electrode terminal plate 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
