<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for economically removing heavy metals from agricultural and marine products while retaining freshness and quality, in view of the fact that some marine products contain harmful heavy metals in guts and some agricultural products such as vegetables, beans and cereals contain heavy metals absorbed from soil, and food processed products, feed and fertilizer using the agricultural and marine products inevitably contain heavy metals. <P>SOLUTION: This method for removing heavy metals comprises mixing and stirring a heavy metal-containing organic substance with a heavy metal absorbent in a weak acid aqueous solution so as to simultaneously absorb and remove heavy metals from the organic substance and liquid phase in a short time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
