<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which has two or more information sections and can perform recording and reproduction of information to the information section far from a light incident side stably and with high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: In the determination method of a recording condition of the optical recording medium provided with a first information section 10 having a first preformatted region, a first transition region, a first test region and a first information recording region and a second information section formed on the first information section and having a second preformatted region, a second transition region, a second test region and a second information recording region, when the distance from the center of the optical recording medium in the radial position of the innermost peripheral track in the second test region on the inner peripheral side is defined as R1 and the radius of an optical beam in the first information section when the optical beam is condensed on the second information section is defined as r, the first preformatted region, the first transition region and the first test region on the inner peripheral side are disposed in a region of the first information section different from a region on the inner side of the distance R1-r from the center of the optical recording medium. Thereby, the second test region is irradiated with the laser beam without making the laser beam pass through the first preformatted region, the first transition region and the first test region when the recording condition of the second information section is determined to the optical recording medium in which the optical beam is made incident from the first information section side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
