<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device capable of continuing power assist control even when an abnormal condition occurs on a torque sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer 41 comprises an abnormal condition detecting portion 50 detecting the abnormal condition of the torque sensor, and a steering torque estimating computing portion 51 estimating steering torqueτ' on the basis of current amount I_vg passing through a motor 12 which is a driving source of a gear ratio variable actuator 7. In case that the abnormal condition detecting portion 50 detects the abnormal condition of the torque sensor, by using the steering torqueτ' estimated by the steering torque estimating computing portion 51 in stead of steering torqueτdetected by the torque sensor, output of a motor control signal to the motor 22, namely power assist control is continued. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
