PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting chip collecting utensil of a motor-driven drill, preventing scattering of cutting chips generated in drilling using the motor-driven drill and automatically collecting the chips. SOLUTION: A cutting chips collecting container 10 made of transparent hard plastics includes a circular base part 12 provided with a through hole 11 bored for inserting the motor-driven drill in the center and a cylindrical side erect wall 13 erected on the outer peripheral edge thereof. The size of the through hole is larger than the diameter of an inserted drill. The through hole and the side erect wall are concentric. The outer periphery of the upper part of the side erect wall is provided with a screw groove 14 fitted to a lid 20. The lid 20 includes: a top face part 22 made of hard plastic and provided with a through hole 21 bored in the center for inserting the motor-driven drill; and a side suspending wall suspended from the outer peripheral edge.
