A parking assistance device capable of setting an efficient travel track for a vehicle to enhance convenience of parking assistance. The parking assistance device assists parking of the vehicle to a target parking position and has detection means for detecting a positional relationship between an obstacle around the vehicle and a parking space frame line drawn on the ground. Based on the detected positional relationship, the device changes a travel track of the vehicle to the target parking position.
