A method for controlling an air supplying unit of a fuel cell system is provided to improve the dynamic response characteristics of a fuel cell system, thereby improving vehicle acceleration quality, and to realize excellent lifespan and efficiency of a fuel cell system. An air supplying unit of a fuel cell system comprises: a main air supplying unit driven by a high-voltage power from a fuel cell stack(100) for supplying air to the fuel cell stack; a supplementary air supplying unit driven by a low-voltage power from a supplementary battery(150) for supplying air to the fuel cell stack; and an air supply control unit for generating signals by which each of the main air supplying unit and supplementary air supplying unit is controlled depending on the driving conditions of the fuel cell system. A method for controlling the air supplying unit comprises the steps of: (A) calculating a fuel cell output current command value(demand I_FC_cmd) including the sub-steps of (i) dividing the inverter input power command value(demand:P_INV_cmd) at the current time(t1) by the voltage(V_BUS) of a high-voltage main bus terminal at the past time(t0), subtracting the output current(I_HV_DCDC) of a high-voltage DC/DC converter at the past time(t0) from the resultant value, and multiplying the resultant value by a tuning gain(K), (ii) adding the fuel cell output current(I_FC) of the fuel cell at the past time(t0) and the output current(I_HV_DCDC) of a high-voltage DC/DC converter(160) at the past time(t0) to the value calculated from step (i), and (iii) subtracting the inverter input current(consumed current: I_INV) at the past time from the value calculated from step (ii); and (B) preliminarily carrying out control of the flow of the air supplying unit in the air supply controlling section based on the fuel cell output current command value calculated from step (A). |
