<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank support structure, capable of sufficiently securing the capacity of a fuel tank without sacrificing rigidity strength of a sub-frame. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel tank support structure is provided with a suspension arm fixing structure having statically sufficient rigidity strength, provided under the floor of a vehicle body; a fuel tank provided partially overlappingly with the suspension arm fixing structure in the vehicle longitudinal direction; and a detachable support member provided below the fuel tank to extend in the vehicle width direction to be fastened to the suspension arm fixing structure for fixing the fuel tank under the floor of the vehicle body by pressure welding. The support member is provided to simultaneously serve as a reinforcing member to provide rigidity strength to the suspension arm fixting structure, so that it is sufficiently durable to a dynamic load applied to the suspension arm fixing structure while the vehicle is running. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
