PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device for selecting a proper storage format according to a user who stores an electronic document or the attributes of the electronic document.

SOLUTION: This document management device 101 for managing the storage of an electronic document original text and an additional electronic document obtained by adding additional information about the electronic document original copy is provided with an original copy registration part 10131 for acquiring an additional electronic document input from a user and a storage format determination part 10133 for determining the storage format of the additional electronic document based on the attributes of at least either a user or the electronic document origin, and for storing the additional electronic document in the determined storage format.
