PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which capacity adjustment can be executed in a short time without overheating a control substrate by properly controlling a heat generating quantity in capacity adjustment. SOLUTION: The capacity adjustment method uses a voltage value to adjust the capacity of each of secondary batteries of a combined battery having a plurality of secondary batteries 14, and a control substrate 15 mounted with electronic components 151, 155 for controlling the secondary batteries and a capacity adjusting means 152 for each of the secondary batteries. This method has a step of deciding the number of secondary batteries subjected to capacity adjustment in accordance with the temperature and flow rate of a cooling medium flowing to the control substrate 15, and a step of controlling the capacity adjustment means for secondary batteries of the number decided in this step to adjust the capacity of each of the secondary batteries.
