PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably absorb energy by preventing a sudden reduction of a load after buckling started in a collision, in regard to a bumper structure in which a bumper stay 2 is fixed to a bumper reinforce 2, while enlarging a bumper stay 2 by electromagnetic forming. SOLUTION: The bumper reinforce 1 is formed from an aluminum alloy extruded material having a nearly rectangular cross section, and cross sectional structure of an upper and a lower walls 6 and 7 is formed into V so as to be bent to the inside of a hollow part when buckling with a compression load in the back and forth direction. The bumper stay 2 is formed from a cylindrical aluminum alloy extruded material, and fitted in a hole 8 passing through a front and a rear walls 4 and 5 of the bumper reinforce 1, and enlarged by electromagnetic forming to be tightly adhered to the inner peripheral surface of the hole 8, and projected outside in the radial direction between the front and the rear walls 4 and 5. A front end of a shaft part of the bumper stay 2 is formed with an enlarging part 16, and a projecting shaft part 17 is projected outward in the radial direction, and formed with a flange 18 in a rear end thereof.
