PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for metering the volume of a fluid relevant to the printing technique, and an apparatus suitable for enforcing the method. SOLUTION: In the method for metering the volume of the fluid relevant to the printing technique using pumps, a pump 2 is driven by a fluid 1 relevant to the printing technique.
