Disclosed is a method for examination of a hepatic disorder (e.g., NASH), which is less invasive and highly sensitive and can be achieved in a simple manner. According to the method, it becomes possible to determine the occurrence of a hepatic disorder (e.g., NASH) in a patient suffering from metabolic syndrome and/or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, by determining the amount of a mitochondrion-derived protein (e.g., ornithine carbamoyltransferase, glutamate dehydrogenase) in a blood sample from the patient and comparing the determination value with an average value determined using samples from normal persons.
|
