<p>Water treatment apparatus (10) comprising a buoyant body (11) adapted to float on a body of water, water treatment chamber means defined by a tank (12) supported by the buoyant body (11), at least portion of the tank (12) extending in use into the body of water, the tank (12) containing media carrying bacteria for treatment of water in the body of water, means (18) for pumping water from the body of water to the upper end of the tank (12) for flow through the tank (12) whereby said water is exposed to bacteria in the tank (12) and the lower end of the tank (12) being open for directing treated water back into the body of water.</p> |
