The device is used in medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, and other spheres of technology and everyday life for removing mechanical and gaseous impurities from water. It is characterized by its improved technological structure. It consists of a microprocessor-based controller MC (13) controlling the water flows by eleven electromagnetic valves through three columns (4, 9, 16) filled up to a certain level with washed quartz sand and a fourth column (24) full of activated carbon, so as to ensure permanent water feed at the final outlet regardless of any intermediate self-washing of the columns. Besides, the water is cleaned in a stepwise manner from the gaseous substances dissolved therein. First, in the self-washing process the gasses that have reached during the working cycle the top part of the sand columns (4, 9, 16) are removed in a purely mechanical way, and second, the water gets fully cleaned in a purely chemical way by the activated carbon in the fourth carbon column (24). By the external intervention of an operator, synchronization of the processes is performed by turning a switch (22), whereat the device switches from an active operation mode over to a condition after which it gets self-washed and is at rest again. This process is repeated until the switch (12) turns and the device starts operating again.
