A method and a device for generating an OTP, and a banking or EC method and device using the same are provided to identify a user securely, and prevent illegal use and hacking by computing the OTP between a banking facility or an EC company, and a customer through a communication device for banking or EC transaction. A communication device of a customer is registered to a server of the banking facility. The banking facility informs the customer of registration of the communication device. The customer requests the banking transaction in the network. The banking facility provides OTP computation information to the communication device or an Internet PC of the customer. The customer inputs the OTP calculated by the received OTP computation information to the server of the banking facility by using the Internet PC. The banking facility approves the banking transaction by checking the OTP received from the customer. |
