A concrete finishing machine for operation on side forms and incorporating means for compensating for level inaccuracies in the forms comprises a milling roller 2 and consolidation plank 3, mounted on a leading bogie, and a smoothing mechanism 4 mounted between the leading bogie and a trailing bogie 17 in a manner which compensates for the inaccuracies. The smoothing mechanism is mounted between members 15 which are connected at their leading ends by universal joints 14, 16 to the mid points of frames 9 connecting the front and rear wheels 5 of the leading bogie and similarly at their rear ends to trailing bogie 17. The smoothing mechanism consists of a smoothing plank 20 and vibrator plank 21 which are flexibly connected and reciprocated by arm 23. Vibrators 25 on plank 21 are driven by motor 26. |
