A device and a method for managing an input data buffer of an MP3 decoder are provided to prevent waste of memory capacitance by receiving i-th main data, judging whether an Si value is greater than an i-th standard value, and selecting an initial part of M memory units according to the result, and the values of M, Si, and L(i-1). A method for managing an input data buffer of an MP3 decoder comprises: receiving i-th main data block in an audio frame(S51); judging whether an Si value is greater than an i-th standard value(S52); selecting an i-th memory unit set among M memory units according to the result and the values of M, Si, and L(i-1)(S53,S54); and storing the i-th main data block in the i-th memory unit set(S55). |
