A traffic light device and a signaling method are provided to enhance the visibility of the traffic light device by using a multi-step warning. A traffic light device includes a signal light(110), a timer(120), a power supply unit(130), an LED(Light Emitting Diode) lighting unit(140), and a central controller(150). The signal light includes left and right signal lamps having three color LEDs. The timer counts a time under control of the central controller. The LED lighting unit turns on LEDs corresponding to left or right signal lamps based on the counting of the timer. The central controller controls the signal light, timer, power supply unit, and LED lighting unit. The traffic light device further includes photo sensor for sensing light amounts around the traffic light device and an LED brightness adjusting unit for adjusting the brightness of an LED under control of the light amount sensing unit. |
