This invention provides a system to change settings of mobile terminals located in a certain area automatically. The system comprises a setting server (200) for delivering configurable settings to mobile terminals, and a setting client (100) for receiving settings (308) from setting servers (200) and changing settings of mobile terminals (310). The setting client comprises a communication unit (110) for receiving setting information for the mobile terminal from a setting server (204) in the predetermined area; and a setting-changing unit (120) for changing current settings of the mobile terminal based on the received setting information. The setting server comprises a setting information generation unit (220) for generating the setting information for the mobile terminals located in the predetermined area; and a communication unit (210) for transmitting the setting information to the setting clients operatively coupled to the mobile terminal located in the predetermined area. This invention can be used in cinema, meeting room, and any other places which have special requirements for mobile terminals to automatically change the settings of mobile terminals into proper settings without any effort from the user.
