<p>The reconfiguration circuit has at least 2 transmission ring nodes (NA,ND), each connected to the end of a transmission section, for bidirectional information transfer between them via the latter, with the transmitted information switched from an operating path to a replacement path upon detection of a fault in the transmission section. The information is transmitted as multiprotocol packet label switching packets fed along 2 opposing unidirectional transmission paths, with a number of linear transmission sections connected in a ring architecture and a common reserve capacity provided by a number of replacement transmission paths.</p> |
