<p>The carrier has Z-drives including motor-driven drive wheels (17), each with a section (41) that is adjusted at the cross-section of individually motor-driven profile rods. Each profile rod comprises drive surfaces (40), which exert a jacking force on the corresponding opposite surfaces of the section (41) of the drive wheels for driving the wheels. Some of the drive surfaces of the profile rod are greater than the remaining drive surfaces with a quadratic cross-section and same large radius (42). An independent claim is also included for a liquid handling system with a carrier for positioning laboratory articles.</p> |
