A vessel mooring device comprises a mooring post 1 mounted on a mooring site, a metal ring (1a, Fig 2) attached to the vessel by means of a first mooring cable (2a, Fig 2) attached to the bow of the vessel and a second mooring cable (2a, Fig 2) attached to the stern of the vessel and a tensioning device (3a, Fig 2). During mooring of the vessel at the mooring site the ring is passed over the mooring post before the cables are tensioned simultaneously by means of the tensioning device. A locking arm 2 may be provided on the mooring post to lock the ring to the post for added security. |
