<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch apparatus in which the normality of wiring in the apparatus is easily confirmed. <P>SOLUTION: A reference light source 10 is provided to generate m lines of reference light beams L1 to Lm. The respective reference light beams L1 to Lm are emitted to output ports 2-1 to 2-m via n pieces of mirror elements 3, respectively. The reference light beams generated by the reference light source 10 are outputted passing through the output ports of a column of the mirror elements 3 at which the mirror elements 3 are all inactive. Thus, at the time of starting an optical transmission apparatus, or in the case where the switching condition of the optical switch apparatus is not set, the reference light is outputted from the optical switch apparatus. Thus, the normal connection of the optical switch apparatus itself and the normal connection from the output port of the optical switch apparatus to another function are confirmed, and the normality of the wiring in the apparatus is easily confirmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
