The door has an inner pane, and a support device (14) with a cross beam (16) and a side bar (64). The side bar is joined perpendicularly to a front pane (10) with the cross beam. The side bar and the cross beam are plugged together by a plug, where the plug is formed by a screw dome. The cross beam is provided to deform the inner and front panes. The support device has a fastening units that engages at the front side of the front pane. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a household appliance door.
