The method involves detecting measuring data of a vehicle by using a fixed sensor (3), and carrying out an information exchange between the sensor and a driver assistance system (2). The information exchange contains the transmission of detected measuring data and/or vehicle parameter from the sensor and/or a communication unit (4) to the vehicle, where the transmitted measuring data and/or vehicle parameters undergo a subsequent processing by using the driver assistance system.
