A method of controlling a height of a vehicle during parking is provided to install vehicle height sensing devices for detecting changes in vehicle height, and a control unit to discern the electrical signals from the vehicle height sensing devices to independently control air spring chambers of strut units to level the vehicle horizontally, thereby enabling the vehicle doors to open normally. A method of controlling a height of a vehicle during parking comprises the steps of: a control unit comparing and determining a height of the vehicle received from a vehicle height sensing device to verify whether the vehicle is in a horizontal state or not and setting a vehicle height reference value(S10); the control unit determining whether the vehicle is in a process of parking or not(S20); the control unit receiving signals from each of vehicle height sensing devices to detect changes in height on left or right side of the vehicle(S30); and the control unit independently controlling air spring chambers of each strut units to set the vehicle horizontally by comparing the vehicle height reference value and the detected value when changes in left or right side of the vehicle height is detected by the height sensing units(S40). The device for controlling the height of a vehicle comprises vehicle height sensing devices installed on front, rear, and on two sides of the vehicle, strut units, having air spring chambers, installed on front, rear and on two sides of the vehicle, and a control unit discerning the electrical signals from the vehicle height sensing devices to independently control air spring chambers of each strut units.
