A drilling device for positioning a drilling pillar on the ground and a method thereof are provided to improve utility and economic efficiency and to increase operation speed. A drilling device for positioning a drilling pillar on the ground comprises a mast(2), a drill driving unit(11), a drilling tube(6), and a tube hopper(30). The drill driving unit is positioned at a conveyor unit(22) supported and moved on the mast. The drilling tube is rotated by the drill driving unit and moved along the mast to bore a drill hole. The tube hopper is connected with the drilling tube and formed with a filler keeping unit filled with a material to fill the drill hole when the drilling tube is moved backward. The tube hopper is positioned on the drill driving unit in a drilling direction and connected with the drilling tube.
