A cableway system having transport devices that can be coupled to a conveying cable is provided to increase conveying capacity of the cableway system since chairs can move faster than cable cars through stations with an accelerated cable. A cableway system comprises terminal stations, a conveying cable, transport devices(31,32), guide rails(41,42), and two diverters(40,43). The terminal stations include one valley station and at least one mountain top station, that have first and second boarding and disembarking regions(1,2). The conveying cable is extended between the terminal stations, being guided on deflecting pulleys of the terminal station. The transport devices can be separated from the conveying cable at the terminal stations, moved via the terminal stations, and connected to the conveying cable after crossing the terminal stations, including first and second transport devices. The guide rails are disposed at the terminal stations to confine the movement of the transport devices via the terminal stations, guiding the first transport devices through the first boarding and disembarking region and the second transport devices through the second boarding and disembarking region, wherein the moving path of the second transport devices is elongated across the first boarding and disembarking region. The two diverters are disposed along the course of the guide rails. The first transport devices are chairs(31) contoured as a lift chair for passengers with skis and the second transport devices are cable cars(32) for passengers without skis. The cableway system is capable of moving the chair through the first boarding and disembarking region twice faster than the cable car moving through the second boarding and disembarking region.
