The airbag has a fabric panel (110) configured to define both a wall of an airbag cushion and a channel (140). The channel is formed of a fabric material, and is integrally formed with a portion of the airbag cushion. The channel is configured for coupling to an inflator. The fabric panel is coupled to another fabric panel (120) with stitched thread. The fabric panels define an inflation chamber (130) that is divided into a set of cells. The channel is provided with a set of apertures (180) that is configured to diffuse a gas to the set of cells. An independent claim is also included for a method of producing an airbag.
