<p>A sensing device equipped with a matrix structure is provided to miniaturize the size of the sensing device and reduce a manufacturing cost by generating touch position information combining sensing signals of a plurality of touch sensors arranged in a first and second direction. A plurality of first touch sensors are arranged in the first direction and generate a first sensing signal when one of the first touch sensors is touched. The plurality of second touch sensors are arranged in the second direction. A second sensing signal is generated when one of the second touch sensors are touched at the same time if when one of the first touch sensors is touched. A controller(200) receives the first and second sensing signal, and generates the touch position information corresponding to the sensing information as many as the number of combinations of the first and second sensing signals. The first and second touch sensors generate the first or second sensing signal by a capacitance change when the user touches the touch sensors. The sensing device is used in a communication terminal and the communication terminal recognizes a keypad according to the touch position information.</p> |
