A METHOD FOR DISTRIBUTING TRAFFIC ON STORAGE BY MIGRATING CONTENTS BETWEEN STORAGES

A method for distributing traffic of a storage by migrating contents between storages is provided to distribute the traffic loaded to the storage and prevent the excessive traffic to the predetermined storage by migrating the frequently used contents to an available storage considering the usage frequency of contents. A usage of each contents stored in each storage is checked by receiving usage information of each contents from a storage operation server. The contents to be migrated are selected from each contents usage considering the usage frequency of contents(S20). The selected contents are physically migrated to the other storage(S34). Position information of the migrated contents is changed in the storage operation server(S44). The storage is an NAS(Network Attached Storage) or a SAN(Storage Area Network).
