An indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to easily attach a bellmouth to an air inlet and an air purifier to the bellmouth with snap fits, thereby simplifying assembling work and improving air purifying efficiency. An indoor unit for an air conditioner includes a scroll housing(172) provided to a blower for serving as an inlet or an outlet for room air, wherein the scroll housing is integrally mounted with a bellmouth(173) and a high voltage generator(175) with snap fits. An air purifier(174) is integrally mounted to the bellmouth with snap fits, wherein a top surface of the high voltage generator serves as a supporting surface for the air purifier.
