摘要 A system and a method of controlling a revolving cushion of a vehicle are provided to determine whether a driver or a passenger is gets in the vehicle or leaves the vehicle by installing a control unit to lock or release lock of a locking unit of a revolving plate depending on whether the vehicle is stationary or not, whether an engine is turned on or not, or whether vehicle doors are opened or not. A system for controlling a revolving cushion comprises a revolving cushion fixed to a vehicle seat, and a revolving cushion controlling system for locking or releasing the lock of the cushion depending on whether a vehicle is in motion, whether ignition is on or not, or whether vehicle doors are opened or not. The revolving cushion includes a base plate with a circular revolving frame groove disposed on an upper end, and a revolving plate having a revolving frame with a lock groove, disposed on an under side wherein the revolving frame is inserted into the revolving frame groove of the base plate, allowing the revolving plate to rotate on the base plate. The revolving cushion controlling system includes an ignition detecting unit(40) for detecting whether vehicle engine is on or off, a door detecting unit(50) detecting whether vehicle doors are opened or not, a speed sensing unit(60) detecting the speed of the vehicle, a revolving cushion locking unit(70) engaged into or disengaged from the locking groove of the revolving groove to lock or release locking of the revolving plate, and a control unit(10) for controlling the locking unit depending on whether the vehicle is moving or not, whether the ignition is on or not, or whether the vehicle doors are opened or not to lock or release the locking of the revolving plate. The control unit locks the revolving cushion if the vehicle is in motion, and releases the lock if the vehicle is stationary and the engine is turned off. The control unit also locks or releases the lock on the revolving cushion depending whether the vehicle doors are closed or open when the vehicle is stationary and the ignition is turned on.
