A sleeve type optical fiber closure and a method for driving the same are provided to improve convenience and safety of a working by coupling both ends of an external terminal box to an injection unit by one touch. A sleeve type optical fiber closure includes an optical cable(100), a connection unit(110), an optical cable injection unit(120), and an external box(130). The external closure covers the connection unit which connects the optical cable. The closure moves bidirectionally along the optical cable, and is coupled to the optical cable injection unit. The closure is made of a plastic synthetic resin. The closure is coupled to the optical cable injection unit by a cramp and an O-ring. The closure is coupled to the optical cable injection unit by one touch.
