PIPE AUTOMATIC WELDING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A pipe automatic welding apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to reduce weight and complexity of an automatic welding apparatus and remove unwanted phenomenon by welding using only weaving shaft. A pipe automatic welding apparatus includes an LVS(Laser Vision Sensor) controller(300), a welding condition database, a program controller, and a automatic welding unit. The LVS controller allows an LVS to measure shape information about a pipe groove. The welding condition database stores a predetermined welding conditions. The program controller adds or subtracts an offset value predetermined by a user from welding condition data value according to the shape information about the pipe groove. The automatic welding unit performs welding with the offset value from the program controller.
