A navigation terminal and a navigation method with a route search function are provided to reduce communication cost by using traffic information in digital multimedia broadcasting. A navigation terminal includes a digital radio broadcasting receiver(70), a storing unit(20), and a controller(10). The digital radio broadcasting receiver receives digital radio broadcasting data. The storing unit stores traffic information. The controller detects traffic information from digital radio broadcasting data, stores the detected traffic information in the storing unit, executes a route searching when the traffic information route search is set in a navigation mode, performs a mapping a searched route to the map, and displays the mapping result on a display unit(50). |
