A rotary engine and a power generator having the same are provided to convert explosive energy generation from oxidation explosion into a rotating force while minimizing loss of the explosive energy. A rotary engine(100) includes a chamber body(102), a chamber(104), a rotor body(112), a cylinder(114), a channel(110), an engine rotor(116), an exhaust port(122), a solution tank(132), and a hydrogen tank(142). The chamber body is metallic or ceramic. The chamber is formed within the chamber body, and has a wall on which a molten metal injector(106) and an oxidizing agent injector(108) are arranged. The chamber serves as a space in which the metal injected by the molten metal injector and the oxidizing agent injected by the oxidizing agent injector are exploded. The rotor body is metallic or ceramic. The cylinder is arranged within the rotor body, and serves as a space for accommodating the engine rotor. The channel guides the metal oxidation explosion energy generated in the chamber to the cylinder. The engine rotor converts the metal oxidation explosion energy transmitted through the channel into a rotating force. The exhaust port is arranged to discharge oxidation gas injected into the cylinder. The solution tank stores a solution for recovering materials excluding hydrogen from the oxidation gas to be discharged from the exhaust port. The hydrogen tank is connected to the solution tank so as to collect hydrogen.
