CONTAINER GRIPPING DEVICE

FIELD: mechanical engineering; gripping facilities. ^ SUBSTANCE: gripping device for handling large-size containers consists of metal platform with tackle blocks and crosspiece with rotary locks getting into container fittings interconnected by swiveling devices made in form of thrust roller bearing. Crosspiece is made in form of box sheet-and-beam structure in lower belt of which suspension is installed made of pipe welded to stiffening ribs. Pipe is connected to upper belt of crosspiece by split washer. Pins arranged over circumference of suspension are connected with L-shaped plate installed on upper rotation part of swiveling device. Dripping device is furnished with turning drives of gripping members and crosspiece. ^ EFFECT: improved reliability and simplified design of gripping device. ^ 5 dwg
