<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump water heater capable of conducting efficient operation and reducing its running cost. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater has a heating quantity calculation means for calculating heating quantity of heating water flowing into the heat exchanger for hot water supply having a coolant circuit for serially connecting a compressor 31, a heat exchanger 32 for hot water supply, a pressure reducing device 33 and an evaporator 34 and a hot water heating circuit for serially connecting a circulation pump 42 and the heat exchanger 32 and determines an operation frequency of the compressor 31 based on the heating quantity calculated by the heating quantity calculation means. In the cases that an outdoor temperature is high in summer and an interim period and hot water is not used so much, heating quantity is calculated. In the case that the heating quantity is equal to or less than a certain value, it is possible to operate the heat pump hot water heater efficiently by operating it with an operation frequency of the compressor 31 lower than a specified value and thus it is possible to provide the heat pump hot water supplier capable of reducing its running cost. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
