PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily secure a light emission period of an electrooptical device while dissolving insufficient writing of data.
SOLUTION: A unit circuit P includes a capacity element C which holds a voltage Vd corresponding to a data current Id[j] flowing to a data line 14 and a drive transistor Qdr controlling luminance of an electrooptical element E according to the voltage Vd. When a gray scale value D[j] is within a range R1, the current quantity of the data current Id[j] is so determined that the quantity of the emitted light of the electrooptical element E in a light emission period P1 becomes the quantity of the emitted light corresponding to the gray scale value D[j] and when the gray scale value D[j] is within a range R2, the current quantity of the data current Id[j] is so determined that the quantity of the emitted light of the electrooptical element E in the light emission periods P1 and P2 becomes the quantity of the emitted light corresponding to the gray scale value D[j]. When the gray scale value D[j] within the range R1 is specified, the voltage Vd of the capacity element C is removed between the light emission periods P1 and P2 and when the gray scale value D[j] within the range R2 is specified, the voltage Vd is maintained for the light emission periods P1 and P2.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
