PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method, which combine image data of a patient, such as images of the patient's GI tract, with rating mucosal damage. SOLUTION: According to some embodiments of the present invention the system and method are able to assess a patient's GI tract condition, to monitor mucosal healing in a patient's GI tract, preferably, the small bowel (SB) mucosa and/or to differentiate between different pathological conditions.
