PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow easy and quick attaching/detaching operation at loading or replacing of a fluorescent lamp, and to surely load it using a socket. SOLUTION: An external electrode fluorescent lamp 2 is electrically connected using a socket 10 which comprises a socket body 11 on a fixed side and a clamp member 12 which holds the end part of the external electrode fluorescent lamp for free releasing. The clamp member is provided with a pair of clamps 24 which opens/closes between a clamp position for clamping the external electrode fluorescent lamp and a standby position for releasing it. A push mechanism 30 can change position of the clamp by pressurizing the clamp member with the external electrode fluorescent lamp. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
