PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture, in restraint of the generation of cracks and with good productivity, a transparent resin-made light guide plate having an uneven shape on the surface. SOLUTION: A resin plate consisting of a transparent resin material whose tensile strain at break is≥3% is subjected to heat press using a mold having an uneven shape on the surface to impart the uneven shape on the surface of the resin plate. As the transparent resin material polymethyl methacrylate is used preferably. This method is especially advantageously adopted when a thin light guide plate is manufactured using a thin resin plate having about a 0.05-1 mm thickness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
