PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost developing roller which can be manufactured with a small number of steps. SOLUTION: The developing roller 1 is equipped with a shaft 2, an elastic layer 3 formed on the outer circumference of the shaft 2 and a surface coating layer 4 formed on the outer circumferential surface of the elastic layer 3, wherein urethane foam obtained by foaming urethane material by mechanical stirring is used for the elastic layer 3, and the surface coating layer 4 is composed of coating material containing resin and solvent, and the solvent contains weak solvent of≥60% to the total amount of the solvent. Methylcyclohexane, ethylcyclohexane and mineral turpentine (mineral spirit) are preferable as the weak solvent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
