PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of easily and certainly adjusting a separation pressure adjustment screw for adjusting a separation pressure in a paper conveying device in which several sheets of paper paid out from a paper feed tray are separated one by one by a separation roller and a separation pad pressure-contacted with this at a predetermined separation pressure. SOLUTION: In the paper conveying device 1, the separation pressure adjustment screw 18 is provided on a conveying device body 29 just below a separation pad holder 16, one end of a coil spring 17 is abutted on the separation pressure adjustment screw 18, and the other end is abutted on a position separated from the separation pad 14 in the separation pad holder 16 respectively. A screw adjustment hole 26 for adjusting a thread-in amount of the separation pressure adjustment screw 18 from above is provided on the separation pad holder 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
