PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by alternatively mounting a whirl type dust collector or a disposable filter. SOLUTION: This is a vacuum cleaner 101 that can collect dust contained in air sucked in from an inlet 104 into the body 103. The vacuum cleaner includes a housing part 109 for housing a whirl type dust collector that, formed in the body, can collect dust contained in the air by separating through a centrifugal force by whirling the air sucked in from the inlet, and a fixing part 41 for fixing a disposable filter in the housing part, when the disposable filter 40, instead of the whirl type dust collector therein, is housed for the purpose of collecting the dust contained in the air sucked from the inlet.
