An action-side electrode structure of an iontophoresis device (10) comprising, laminated in the order mentioned, an action-side electrode (22), an electrolyte holding unit (24), an electrode-side ion selecting membrane (26), a drug solution supplementing unit (28), a tip end-side ion selecting membrane (30) and drug solution holding unit (32), wherein a space unit (34) is provided between the electrolyte holding unit (24) and the electrode-side ion selecting membrane (26) to keep the electrolyte holding unit (24) and the electrode-side ion selecting membrane (26) non-contact in a stored condition and prevent mixing by diffusion of the drug solution and the electrolyte, a switch member (36) as a part of a backing material (21) kept in an off position curved outwardly while not in use is pushed in a skin S direction when in use to an on position curved in a convex shape, and the electrolyte holding unit (24) is brought into contact with the electrode-side ion selecting membrane (26) to allow drug ions to be administered.
